About The Aesthetic MD
The Aesthetic MD is led by Dr. Janalee (Jana) Gordon, MD, a double board-certified anesthesiologist and interventional pain physician with a foundation that began in nursing. Before medical school, Dr. Gordon worked as an RN in newborn ICU, mother–baby, pediatrics, and PACU/ICU overflow, as well as in epidemiology for the Utah Department of Health.
This depth of clinical experience—spanning bedside nursing, public health, procedural medicine, and advanced pain physiology—shapes her uncompromising approach to safety, anatomy, and patient advocacy.
After years of watching aesthetic marketing overshadow real science, Dr. Gordon created TheAestheticMD.net to offer something different:
accurate, unfiltered, physician-led education on what works, what doesn’t, and what every patient deserves to know before choosing a treatment.
Her perspective blends medical precision with hands-on clinical understanding, focusing on evidence, transparency, and honest outcomes rather than industry hype.
